Senior Software Developer (Java)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software engineer to develop modern cloud-native applications and micro services. Ideal candidates are expected to develop, integrate, implement and extend core services in DPI-aligned open-source platforms like MOSIP, eSignet etc. Or any new innovations related to identity enrolment, authentication, SSO, eKYC, Data Sharing, Mobile Wallets, payment, and service delivery systems. This is a high-impact role contributing to national-scale and global-scale digital infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and integrate services for open-source Cloud-native Microservices, Applications and DPGs like MOSIP and eSignet or contribute to the new open-source initiative.
• Design, develop, test and integrate the backend APIs (REST/Socket/gRPC/Kafka) and workflows in Java/Spring Boot backed by cryptographic security to implement zero-trust.
• Integrate biometric SDKs, IAM Tools (i.e. Keyclock), HSM or any other PKI and service providers into identity workflows.
• Write robust test cases, debug issues, and participate in code and design reviews.
• Work closely with DevOps and Architects to ensure systems are production-grade.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with JDK 11 or higher with Spring Boot 2.3.6 or higher with JPA, Hibernet and PostgreSQL (Or any other RDBMS).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with SQL/PLSQL, DDL, DML Liquibase or any other change log management libraries.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with development of Test Cases (Mokito or any other) Candidate must have a good experience on API Documentation using Swagger.
• Ideal candidate must have experience with Spring Security (Oauth, OpenID) or Keyclok for at least one project.
• Any experience working with Swing or JavaFX for desktop application development will be additional advantage.
• Prior experience in development or integration of/with Biometric SDK/ABIS system will be a strong plus.
• Any experience integrating AI Tools for SDLC (i.e. Code generation, review etc.) will be plus.
• Ideal candidate should have Either Full stack development experience with ReactJS, OR Strong in-depth knowledge on backend development with REST/gPRC, Socket based highly secured and scalable APIs.
• Prior experience with open-source platforms or DPGs such as MOSIP, eSignet, OpenG2P, etc. is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge with Maven, Docker, Git workflows, and CI tools Exposure to identity systems, financial inclusion platforms or registries is preferred.
